Car Openings

Ouch! Did that guy just stab around in your car door with a Slim Jim, trying to unlock it and tear your door up? Got a bad “lock out” story? I’d love to hear about it!

Hard to find keys

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010 | Value & Trust | No Comments

Are you having trouble finding someone to make a key that you have? We have thousands of different keys in stock! We have keys for the  home, office, and auto. We stock  high security restricted keys,  skeleton keys, tractor, RV, boat, motorcycle keys and many more! But a key is useless… unless it’s made correctly! That’s why we constantly check our key machines for accuracy!

Are you being over charged?

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010 | Value & Trust | No Comments

Are you being over charged for locksmith services? Here are some of the “tricks” of the trade.

  • Charging for Fuel, Mileage, and Vehicle Wear, plus the trip charge… instead of including them in the trip charge.
  • Charging a minimum hourly rate on top of the charges for the actual work being performed.
  • Charging for tumblers, springs, removing & remounting the lock:  these are usually included in a standard re-keying charge.
  • Extremely high unlocking fees to open your door, on top of the service trip charge.

Don’t be fooled! An honest locksmith will always let you know about “unexpected charges”  BEFORE they begin the work!

Is your locksmith licensed?

Have you hired someone that you think isn’t licensed? We have heard customer reports of locksmiths operating in TN. without a license! All locksmiths in Tennessee must be licensed and have a state issued photo ID with them while they are working for you. I have checked for feedback with my customers, and without a doubt, the majority of them overwhelmingly support background checks and licensing for locksmiths.
